Welcome to Christiansøfarten and BornholmExpress
A vacation on Bornholm should always include a visit to the Ertholmene archipelago - perhaps better known as Christiansø, the name of the biggest island in the group.
King Christian V's old fortress stands on Christiansø today almost as it did when the fortress was built in 1684 and offers you an exciting historical experience. Throughout the years, the islands have been visited by many painters who have only had to move their easels a few metres each time they wanted to start on a new subject.
Today two of the islands, Christiansø and Frederiksø, have 110 residents as well as innumerable species of birds choosing these peaceful islands as their breeding place.
